When a couple selects a wedding location full of personal meaning, it makes the celebration that much more special. Since Kelly Sigurdson and Ben Mathis chose the farmhouse they bought and renovated, their event was close to both heart and home—literally. “This home is where we will spend our days raising our children and growing old together, so we wanted to share our forever home with all of our friends and family,” says Kelly. The house sits on four scenic acres of land, surrounded by cornfields and a creek that flows along the edge of the property. Guests were treated to a hayride from the parking area to the reception tent. Friends and family gathered to toast, celebrate, hug and party with the newly married couple—everyone present played a role in making their new home their new beginning.
