From a dashing gentlemen and blushing bride to a retro car and rooftop ceremony, Kyle and Katie's wedding was bursting with unique personality. Wanting their wedding to feel true to their style, the couple personalized everything, from the wedding venue to the dessert donuts. With a distinct hint of decades past, the wedding day feels both romantic and truly one-of-a-kind. Katie wore a glistening gown that was paired with a bouqet of stunning flowers. This elegant wedding truly reflects the intimacy (and humor!) of this couple's relationship.
From the photographer, Monica:
"When choosing their wedding venue and theme, the bride & groom were inspired by Katie's favorite movie, "The Great Gatsby." It was extremely important to them to have something intimate and able to capture them. They opted for a taco bar instead of traditional meal and popcorn for cocktail hour to incorporate Kyle's favorite foods. Music was so important to Katie and after talking to Sound By Design, they knew they were the right guys! The walk down the aisle was put to the tune of one of Katie's favorite punk rock songs and after being pronounced man and wife, they walked out to DMX. The DJ, Tyler played amazing Euro Jazz during the cocktail hour and Katie's favorite album Brand New during dinner. This wedding was so much fun to photograph! One of the most unique weddings I've been to! Such an honor and a blast!"
From the bride, Katie:
'When I pictured my wedding day from a very young age, I never wanted a traditional white wedding. I'm beyond happy that I found a guy who wanted to break the traditions with me and make it fun and us. The most important part was making every last detail as "us" as possible, down to cutting a giant donut topped with super heroes. Following traditions has just never been our style and we wanted to make our wedding day truly our own...even if it meant breaking the wedding norms."
