Lake Winnebago Wedding at The Waters: A Romantic, Elegant Wisconsin Celebration

Brianna and Elliot's love story began in the heart of Wisconsin, at the hospital where both were working. The two exchanged phone numbers on Valentine's Day, and in 2022, the pair got engaged at the top of Rib Mountain. Both the bride and groom grew up on the lakes of Wisconsin. They knew that they wanted their wedding to feel like those nostalgic lakeside afternoons — the soft hush after a cannonball, the low glow of lanterns and the smell of a backyard cookout — elevated for the day. At The Waters, Lake Winnebago became more than a view; it became an intentional memory. And so after the newlyweds exchanged vows, surrounded by happy tears and love during the couple's church ceremony, held at Saint Mary's Church, they headed back to the shoreline. Guests mingled during the outdoor cocktail hour, enjoying easy conversation, a warm breeze and gelato from The Knotted Cone. Throughout the space, both inside and out, flowerscapes echoed the timeless lakeside elegance of the day, with blush roses, ranunculus and spray roses dotted throughout the venue. Soft pops of greenery contrasted thoughtfully with the creamy florals, creating a classic tablescape. The reception inside The Waters' romantic ballroom glittered with chandeliers, casting a sparkling glow throughout the space as guests found their seats, and laughter drifted over the low-garden-inspired centerpieces. After the reception, everyone headed back out to the lake to celebrate the newlyweds' next chapter for the rest of the evening, dancing together as the sun set and the lake's waters began glittering with moonlight.
