Wedding Date: September 21, 2019
Lauren O’Brien was 10 years old when she decided 14-year-old Tim Allen was her “ultimate childhood crush” after they met at family gatherings at Lake Geneva. Ten years later, Tim’s dad learned about the crush and was successful in his mission to set them up. Fast forward four summers, and the two were back at the lake where it all started. Tim told Lauren he couldn't imagine spending the rest of his life without her. After Lauren said “yes!” she was surprised to see her closest family and friends waiting in Abbey Harbor House to celebrate their engagement. On their wedding day, the rain forced the ceremony inside, but the planner and vendors did a seamless job transitioning. Lauren and Tim said “I do” in the ballroom under a large floral circle filled with greenery and white flowers, a gift from the florist. A neutral palette of white and silver decorated the venue, with light blue in the linens and floral bouquets to adding a pop of color. Guests could sip on some bubbly at the custom-made Champagne wall, which was the talk of the night, or head over to the “You + Me” neon sign above the fireplace for a photo-op. The couple’s favorite part of the night was hearing the speeches about their love story through the eyes of family and friends. But nothing could top the sentimental speech from Lauren’s dad. “He gave his blessing, and you could see how happy he was that Timmy and I would be spending our lives together,” Lauren says.
