Wisconsin Bride Spring/Summer 2025

Milwaukee offers stunning city skylines and unparalleled views of Lake Michigan. For Wisconsinites, love for this vibrant city runs deep. With its eclectic vibe and diverse offerings—from cheese-centric dishes to distinctive breweries—what’s not to love? In tribute to her home state, future bride Libby Rasmussen (@libbylivingcolorfully) celebrated with a Wisconsin-themed bachelorette party, visiting her favorite Milwaukee hotspots.

Day 1: Harley Nights. In honor of her childhood spent riding bikes and motorcycles with her brother, Libby and her bridal party kicked off the weekend with Harley rides at the Harley-Davidson Museum, followed by an intimate dinner at Nonfiction Wine. The night ended with boozy milkshakes at her favorite bar, At Random.

Day 2: Dairy Before the Marry & Midwestern Dad. Given Wisconsin’s fame for its cheese, it was only fitting that Libby showcased her home state’s finest. The Sartori Cheese caves in Plymouth—home to her favorite Parmesan-cheddar blend, Montamore—was the prime spot. After lunch at Culver’s and a pit stop at Kwik Trip for lottery tickets, the day continued with a visit to Second Look Holsteins in Eden where the group met dairy cows. Donning thrifted “Midwestern dad” outfits, the group headed to a lakeside restaurant near Libby’s cottage for a quintessential Wisconsin Friday night fish fry with brandy old-fashioneds.

Day 3: Gone Fishin’ & Cottage Core. Due to rough waters, the group decided to forgo their fishing plans on the pontoon and instead spent the day enjoying fried food and pull tabs and mingling with the locals. A cottage-core-inspired dinner hosted by friends and Madison locals, Don’t Cook for Cowboys (@dontcookforcowboys) was a flawless ending to the epic weekend. “I wouldn’t have changed a single thing,” Libby says.
