“Not all love stories start with beer and a fish fry, but maybe they should.” So began Tyler Twing’s vows to Amelia Abraham at their August wedding. The two met when Amelia’s parents hosted a fish fry for her roommates during their senior year of college at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Amelia offered a plate of fish to make friends with the neighbor boys playing beer darts, one of whom was Tyler. He proposed at The Paine Art Center and Gardens on their fifth dating anniversary, even hiring a photographer for the event. The Carriage House at Lac La Belle provided the perfect combination of Amelia’s equestrian passion and a picturesque venue near the lake. The couple incorporated red, Tyler’s favorite color, paired with crisp whites and bright pinks. This palette made a striking contrast to the bridesmaids’ white dresses, a bold choice that worked beautifully to create the clean, spare look the bride envisioned. Acting as flower girl and flower boy were the couple’s dogs, Millie and Milo.
Amelia and Tyler celebrated their summer nuptials near the lake in Oconomowoc.
