Renee and Peter's Historic Downtown Milwaukee Wedding Day

Real Wedding

If you thought upscale elegance and simplicity can't mix, then you need to see Renee and Peter's wedding in historic downtown Milwaukee. Vintage touches, including jam jars, cut flowers in small bud vases, and a display of fun family photos, felt like the perfect match against the opulence offered at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. While the couple's love was certainly the highlight of the day, we couldn't help but swoon over the gorgeous bouquets, the sweet flower girl and ring bearers, and the bride's custom handmade veil. See what makes your heart swell...

From the photographer:

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Renee and her family over the last five years, after shooting her sister's Milwaukee wedding in 2011. When Renee initially contacted me about photographing her wedding, I still remember her words: “I finally met the love of my life.” That’s all that really needs to be said when it comes to Renee and Peter together…spending five minutes with them, it becomes quite clear the connection they share.

Their wedding encompassed a romantic, downtown Milwaukee affair, but most importantly, it overflowed with excitement, adoration, and joy! Both Renee and Peter come from large families, so their family members played a large part in their day, down to Renee's adorable flower girl. Miniature jam jars--filled by the couple and their family with Renee's grandmother's famous recipe and handmade by all of the VIPs and grandma--were adorned by the very same grandmother's quilt scraps. Their classic taste as a couple also included peonies, rose gold rings, J.Crew, and a jaw-dropping veil. But most importantly, their day was perfectly them and simply perfect.
