This wedding was a day of celebrating the bond between two people and their heritages. Connie and Rick brought their Chinese and Jewish backgrounds together in a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Farm at Dover. Connie's bouquet was made of spring flowers of peach and pink, set off by coral peonies. The couple was married under a chuppah, which was decorated with the same cheerful flowers. The Ketubah was designed with traditional Hebrew lettering as well as Chinese characters, and Connie made a marquee letter sign of the Chinese character for "love," which hung at the reception. The bride was also responsible for the calligraphy on the invitations and the boxes handed out to guests as favors, which held pieces of chocolate and sported the same Chinese character for "love" on the outside. The wedding party, in robin's egg blue and navy, surrounded the couple and helped them dance the hora.
