As the flowers bloom and the days grow longer, spring weddings embrace a season of renewal, color, and fresh beginnings. This year, couples are stepping away from tradition and infusing their celebrations with vibrant hues, organic floral arrangements, and immersive guest experiences. Here are some of the most exciting trends shaping spring weddings in 2025, as shared by top Wisconsin wedding industry experts.

1. Lean into the Softness of Spring

"Blending natural elements like local, seasonal florals with artistic design creates a romantic, immersive experience," shares the Events to a T Team. "Soft hues - think blush pink, soft lilac, buttery yellows, and subtle peaches - tie everything together. The addition of delicate tableware enhances the experience, perfectly capturing the lightness and renewal of the season. It’s an elegant and effortlessly romantic way to celebrate new beginnings."

2. Edible Florals & Al Fresco Dining

Seasonal details shine through in unique wedding elements such as edible flowers and outdoor dining. "Incorporate seasonal elements like edible flowers in signature cocktails, pressed floral wedding cakes, or delicate floral embroidery on wedding attire," suggests Beauty Unveiled by Tia. These delicate floral touches bring a fresh, nature-inspired aesthetic while also adding unique flavors and visual appeal. Picture a signature cocktail adorned with floating petals or a wedding cake elegantly pressed with vibrant, edible blooms - these stunning details make a lasting impression.

3. Peonies

Peonies are a quintessential spring flower, making them a perfect choice for wedding decor. "Spring weddings are full of light colors such as blush and lavender. My personal favorite spring flower we see at weddings is the peony," shares Jaclyn Thompson of Best Western Premier Park Hotel. "These flowers are so lush and full, which makes for beautiful centerpieces that really tie in spring elements. Peony flowers are statement pieces that leave your event space filled with spring aroma and everlasting looks." Whether used in bouquets, centerpieces, or floral arches, peonies add a luxurious, fragrant touch to any spring celebration.

4. Breathtaking Floral Installations

Floral arrangements are being taken to new heights with immersive designs that mirror a blooming garden. "One of the most captivating trends I've seen is the use of floral installations that feel like an extension of a blooming garden - think suspended floral chandeliers, cascading flower walls, or whimsical aisle meadows - this will be a big hit in 2025," says Beauty Unveiled by Tia. These striking floral elements create a magical, storybook setting for both ceremonies and receptions, making guests feel as though they’ve stepped into a dreamlike garden.

5. Elegant Parasols

For couples looking to add a charming, functional element to their outdoor wedding, parasols are an elegant choice. "Parasols at spring weddings are both practical and stylish, adding a whimsical and romantic touch while offering shade for guests," explains Renee Tantillo of Renee Breanne Design & Co. "Set up a beautifully styled parasol station at the entrance to the ceremony or reception. Arrange them in decorative baskets or floral-adorned stands. For a timeless, elegant look, the bride can carry one in some of her portraits, adding an elegant, garden-party feel." This refined detail enhances both comfort and aesthetics at an outdoor spring wedding.

6. Bold & Bright Tablescapes

Spring weddings aren’t limited to pastels - bold and bright color themes are making waves. "We are loving bold, bright, and even monochromatic color themes this year," says Cass Stone of C.Mae Photography. "We're also seeing a decor trend of including real fruit in centerpieces and tablescapes. We're loving this fresh and real take on table decor. As photographers, we love the mixture of textures and creative decor elements elevating the traditional centerpieces we've all seen." Incorporating fresh fruit such as lemons, oranges, or berries into table settings adds vibrant color and an organic, seasonal touch.

7. Interactive Experiences

Couples are focusing on creating memorable, interactive moments for their guests. "For a unique touch, interactive guest experiences—such as build-your-own bouquet stations or botanical perfume bars - bring a fresh and personal feel to the celebration," shares Beauty Unveiled by Tia. "These details not only capture the essence of spring but also create unforgettable moments for both the couple and their guests."

8. Nature-Inspired Beauty Looks

Couples are opting for soft, nature-inspired hair and makeup that reflect the vibrancy of spring. "Think loose, textured braids sprinkled with tiny blooms or ribbons, paired with dewy skin and subtle washes of peach shadows on the eyes," suggests Jennifer Janssen of Jennifer Janssen Bridal Artistry. "A flush of pink on the cheeks and lips evokes a fresh, romantic glow—ideal for celebrating new beginnings." This effortless, radiant beauty look complements the airy and romantic atmosphere of a spring wedding.
