Romantic details mixed with Old-World elegance took form at the historic State Bank of Waupun’s upper loft. 1920s-style architecture, rich wood and stone elements of the building inspired Christina Kartechner of Kartechner & Girls Flower Co. to juxtapose the space with soft, dreamy details. An ethereal gown from Tie the Knot Bridal Boutique with luxurious tulle and organza added a sense of movement and influenced the untamed botanical concept. The bouquet showcased flowering branches foraged the morning of the shoot, and “they added the perfect touch of unrefined beauty to the bouquet and were the perfect nod to the seasonality of the shoot,” Kartechner says. Hellebores, lisianthus and locally grown tulips and ranunculus were also woven into the floral design. To adhere to the feminine theme, Shi Norman of Lettered by Shi kept things light and airy with an invitation suite incorporating dainty details, deckled edges and handwritten calligraphy into the muted color palette.
