After meeting first as just friends online over a mutual addiction for the animated series King of the Hill, Denise and Mark’s connection grew into a long distance relationship. Their first meeting happened when Denise flew from Wisconsin, where she was attending college, to meet Mark in New York. The new couple had a “fantastic first meeting,” which included going to the movies, eating 3am tacos together, attending a talk by Bill Nye the Science Guy, and even having brunch with his parents--although they pretended to be "just friends."
Since that first official date, the couple’s love has bloomed, and the quirky cute connection they share in the beginning is still just as fresh as ever. From pops of bright lavender, birdies on the bride’s shoes, handmade felted bouquets, and so many other delightful DIY details, our teeth ache from just how sweet this wedding day turned out to be. Get ready, because yours will, too...

From the photographer:
Denise and Mark were married at the same church her family has been married in for generations--a sweet little white chapel in Ellsworth. The bride masterfully incorporated her purple wedding accent color with handmade, felted bouquets, boutonnieres, and table arrangements, which matched perfectly with her lavender peep-gown and purple glasses. They also incorporated amazing personalized details, including an official wedding logo (on the cake), a "Mad-Libs" style RSVP card, a photo puzzle guest book, and custom wine labels.
