Urban Boho Wedding at Turner Hall Ballroom

Real Wedding

When David Drobac was on vacation with his girlfriend, Annette Daehler, in South America, he knew he wouldn’t find a better opportunity to propose. On a hike to the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, he asked for Annette’s hand, and the rest is history. Annette’s style, she says, is Southwest gypsy boho, so the couple, with the help of their wedding coordinator, turned Turner Hall into exactly the setting she craved for their special day. Since the couple met while working at a popular bar on Madison’s Capitol Square, it’s fitting that No. 1 on their list of wedding priorities was a rocking dance party. “The best part of the day,” Annette says, “was the dancing. It was me, Dave, and everyone we love just dancing to an awesome band.” For David, his peak moment was the couple’s first look, when he saw his bride in her finery. “That’s an image that I will remember forever.”
