Old souls Kaya Heller and Brian Jansen never anticipated they would find their soulmates at a local Pick-N-Save, but thanks to Brian’s courage to break the ice, their instant connection developed into a lifetime of love. Inspired by their shared affinity for vintage aesthetics and their favorite television show, The Gilded Age, the couple chose elegant simplicity for their wedding day at The Cooperage. White florals curated and handcrafted by the bride and her family were offset by the exposed brick of the expansive venue. The muted silken hues of the bridal party’s attire provided the sole pop of color in an otherwise monochromatic palette. Kaya wore a dreamy, vintage- inspired gown composed of layered lace, accented with gigot sleeves, a delicate string of pearls and a lace-trimmed veil. Brian stood at the altar in a classic suit as Kaya walked down the aisle to “Thank You” by Led Zeppelin, a heartfelt nod to the deep gratitude they hold for one another. The reception exuded warmth and charm, with glowing golden candelabras illuminating the room, antique glassware, metallic-edged plateware and retro photo cards. Softly playing Lana Del Rey songs contributed to the effortlessly moody ambiance, which culminated in the newlyweds cutting their Lambeth-style cake as a sweet conclusion to their timeless wedding day.
