To take a break from the summer heat, we're throwing it back to this magical winter wedding at 1841 Farms and Vineyard. Winter weddings are totally breathtaking, and Bride Jessica had a unique vision to be fulfilled: a wedding in the midst of January in Wisconsin. Her resulting marriage to Jaime was a winter dream, set at a quaint barn in Burlington. Jessica and Jaime met at work and instantly developed a connection. After years of a meaningful friendship, the pair knew they were ready to spend their lives together. Jessica said, "It was as if the puzzle pieces finally fell into place and we knew we wanted to create a future together."
The wedding itself was built upon a rustic aesthetic with vintage-romantic influences, a perfect complement to snowy surroundings. Jessica's gorgeous Stella York gown with a plunging neckline and delicate floral detailing was an absolute wow and draped attachments made an elegant train and were reminiscent of the winter wonderland outside. Jaime opted for a moody interpretation of a wedding day look, a refined maroon shirt paired with a classic black tuxedo. The bridal party was well prepared for the cold, with groomsmen adorned in classic tuxedos and bridesmaids wearing chic wrap-around coats over dresses in slate blue hues from Revelry.
Keeping details on theme with the winter ambiance was key for Jessica and Jaime, and carefully designed elements by close family friend Christine Nelson, owner of Designs etc..., made this wedding a true showstopper. The couple opted for big and bold florals, a variety of white blooms with gray-toned greenery were present in bouquets and arrangements throughout the event. A theme in the flora was wooden florals, added to bouquets and men's boutonnieres, which were paired with small succulents and white berries solidifying the winter aesthetic. Opting for a refined take on a winter wedding, elegant birch was draped around the decor and highlighted at the ceremony backdrop and in the reception. The altar was something out of a winter fantasy, with birch logs strewn about and elegant vases adorned with pampas grass and birch branches making for a whimsical setup. Birch was another floral theme, also incorporated into table centerpieces, filled with fresh birch branches in large cylindrical vases. The reception decor was understated and elegant, with dark linens and simple table settings, tying into the vintage feel and the ambiance of the barn venue well. The temperatures outside may have been below freezing, but the atmosphere of this event was certainly warmed up as guests danced the night away and Jaime and Jessica basked in the newlywed glow.
