A Wedding That's Black and White and Snow All Over

Real Wedding

We're simply smitten with the wedding of Katelyn and Matthew's January wedding. The big day twinkled as much from the silvery details as it did from the fresh bed of snow that blanketed Oshkosh the night before the couple shared their vows. The snow perfectly complemented the bride and groom's black and white theme, which added an art deco feel to a night of formal elegance. Maison Meredith Photography captured all of the day's stunning details, and we're pleased to share them with you in hopes of inspiring your very own Wisconsin winter wedding.

From the photographer:

It snowed the night before Matthew and Katelyn’s wedding, and everyone was overjoyed (because despite cold temperatures, there wasn’t a lot of snow on the ground and things had been looking a little dreary)! While shooting their portraits, I heard Matthew whisper to Katelyn that the "Big Guy"' had been listening to his prayers, and we found ourselves taking pictures in the most magical winter wonderland.

Matthew and Katelyn’s day was intimate, romantic, and all about surrounding themselves with those they love most — family. They each said "I do" as their guests were able to watch the sun set outside and the fireplace glowed behind them. Following the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a delightful meal together amidst burning candles, elegant floral centerpieces, and, of course, lots of stories and happy tears. It was an incredible affair.
