Amid the designing process, Abigail David and Daniel Corrigan wanted to make their big day an extension of them and their home—whimsical, colorful and filled to the brim with personal touches—and the coastal, garden-style celebration held at The Abbey Resort on Lake Geneva did just that. Curated for the theme “the more color, the better,” the autumnal floral arrangements of orange ranunculus, deep red celosia, amber orchids and delicate ivory perfectly contrasted the beautiful greenery and bright blue lake water. To honor the memory of their respective fathers, Abby held an image of her father in her bouquet as Dan did the same, keeping him near the heart on his boutonniere. The moment she began her descent down the aisle, her mother in hand, August skies brought forth a light sprinkle of rain upon the wedding party, just enough for Abby and Dan to recognize it as their fathers saying hello. The cocktail and reception spaces were also adorned with details that were as special and unique as the couple themselves. Guests were able to experience the full extent of the love the newlyweds had for their family and friends in the 100 picture frames that were spread throughout the dining area before finding their seats at tables named after places that were most important to Abby and Dan—such as The Penrose in New York City where they had their first date, their first home in San Francisco, and Rome, where Dan popped the question.
