TOP OF THE TIARA
The finalists are: BP Photo, Lake Windsor Golf Club, Photographs by Jenna Leigh
The winner is: Lake Windsor Golf Club
Windsor | 608.846.4711 | lakewindsor.com
The secret to Lake Windsor Golf Club’s success as a premier wedding venue isn’t much of a secret after all. It’s a fairly simple philosophy, says general manager Jennifer Anderson. “We get to know each bride and groom so we can take care of every detail in a way that honors them as a couple.”
From the moment a couple walks in the door until the lights dim for their first dance as husband and wife, every detail is handled with professional elegance. “The staff at Lake Windsor is definitely the best of the best,” says bride Amanda Minnig, who said “I do” in a January wedding that featured a stunning winter backdrop through Lake Windsor’s signature floor-to-ceiling windows.
“Our event coordinator made sure that everything ran flawlessly on the day of our event,” Minnig says. “We truly couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
It’s that all-encompassing service that drew bride Kelly McDaniel to Lake Windsor for her July wedding. “The space had everything we needed: a beautiful outdoor area complete with a gorgeous gazebo for the ceremony, a spacious patio for our guests to enjoy the summer evening and an indoor reception space with plenty of room to party!”
Brides and grooms often strive to create a unique experience for their guests, an idea the staff at Lake Windsor is fully invested in. “We want to express who these people are as a couple instead of executing a cookie-cutter wedding,” Anderson says. “We try to take a hobby, a passion, a family tradition or a meaningful recipe and fully convey its importance to the guests.”
While each wedding is unique, it’s the big picture that guests remember the most, Anderson says. “What guests take away is the quality of the food, beverages, music and all-around ambiance,” she says—all areas where Lake Windsor Golf Club, again and again, remains unsurpassed.
