From Wisconsin, With Love: SS26 Editor's Note

A note from our editor

This issue is truly a love letter to Wisconsin. We saw couples lean into their Midwestern roots— whether it be an old-fashioned-themed welcome party (page 41), a wedding day on a family farm (page 136) or an homage to a first spark at a bar (page 34).

As a Cedarburg native, it was an honor to host our fashion editorial at Lambeau Field. Featuring playful gowns and adorable second looks amid the iconic Green Bay landmark was a dream come true (page 54). If you’re craving more fashion-forward inspiration or a pièce de résistance for your wedding day look, turn to page 46 where daring accessories make a showstopping debut.

We traveled to Lake Geneva, immersing ourselves in a slice of heaven at The Abbey Resort. Here, Graceful Events, Frontier Flowers of Fontana and a dream team of local wedding pros set the scene for a tranquil design that celebrates lake culture with modern touches, beautifully captured by C. Mae Photography (page 64).

We also explored Pepin’s newest venue, Woods & Co., where the Midwestern Bride crew crafted a design inspired by western Wisconsin’s unique landscape and foliage (page 72). Spoiler alert: the floral meadow by Fersk Floral Artistry still lives rent-free in my head.

My advice? Don’t be afraid to show a little personality on the big day. Whether it be a tattoo station (page 30), a sunset welcome party (page 40) or a monochromatic masterpiece (page 28), it’s your day to play. And if you need more time to fit in all the ideas you’re dreaming up for the celebration—don’t worry! Take notes from unique welcome parties (page 40) or see what four idyllic venues have to offer for weekend-long jubilees (page 44).

No matter how you choose to celebrate, always remember, you and your partner are worth it. Don’t be afraid to dream big, make bold choices and embrace creativity to showcase your love story... It’s your day after all!
