Amid the lush terrain of Pepin stands Woods & Co Weddings + Events, a modern venue that opened its doors in spring 2025. The contemporary space offers two distinct ceremony locations, refined getting-ready suites and on-site accommodations, including a striking mirrored cabin, all set against the captivating landscape of western Wisconsin’s natural beauty.
Inspired by the locale, the Midwestern Bride team created a fresh wedding design blooming with creativity. “With the location, we really wanted to feel like we were bringing the outside in,” Megan Tomke, senior planner at Midwestern Bride says. “With the glass house reception space especially, you are surrounded by nature on three sides, so we wanted to make it feel a bit like you were still outside.” With this mission in mind, the result was an enchanting tablescape that was a feast for the senses.
The venue is so thoughtfully designed, from the glass house with beaming natural light to the winding path to the ceremony bluff.

As an homage to early spring foliage and budding greenery, Mikelle Larson, the visionary behind Fersk Floral Artistry, composed a flourishing floral meadow as if a secret garden had taken root inside the venue. “We wanted to show a different perspective for clients interested in trying something different,” the Midwestern Bride team says. “The end result almost felt like we were dining in the forest!” The unexpected spring palette of mauve, burgundy and salmon complemented the natural, green tones woven throughout the design. Flickering taper candles set a romantic tone and cast a sweet glow on the earthy floral arrangements intertwined with ripe fruit. Each place setting was graced with a sage-patterned plate, effortlessly echoing the organic elegance of the scene.
A winding, tree-lined path through the forest leads to a breathtaking bluff ceremony, where soaring cliffs and thriving greenery command the view. At this dramatic setting, bountiful clusters of blooms were carefully arranged to seem as though they had sprung directly from the earth, creating a vision of wild, untamed beauty against the rugged backdrop. “The ceremony space at Woods & Co. is so unique,” the team says. “It was really fun to work with a different medium like the rock surface.”

A single-tier, heart-shaped Lambeth cake was the star of the show atop a table draped in soft, cascading fabric. Emulating timeless charm, its vintage piping felt both nostalgic and fresh. To mirror the day’s ethereal aesthetic, the cake was encircled with fruit and delicate greenery, creating the impression of a still-life tableau brought to life.
