Wedding: September 8, 2017

Ceremony: Yerkes Observatory, Williams Bay

Reception: Abbey Resort, Lake Geneva

Honeymoon: St. Lucia, Brazil, Peru

Any guest at Cara Rosch and Alex Biholar’s wedding was sure to notice the personal details sprinkled throughout. The groom’s passion for geophysics shone through: in the recessional song, Fly Me to the Moon, and on the groom’s cake, which bore the phrase “Of quartz I love you.” The bride brought a love of the Windy City to the day with Do-Rite Donuts and Garrett’s Popcorn for wedding favors. Priding themselves on dominating the dance floor at friends’ weddings, Cara and Alex made a live band a priority at their wedding reception, and couldn’t have been more excited to break it down, center stage. And no one was more surprised than Cara when her mom surprised the couple with a vintage Mercedes Ivory Excalibur Phaeton as a getaway car!
