Brooke Aho, an intensive-care nurse, met Tony Bello, a cardiovascular perfusionist, as they cared for a patient, and he caught her eye immediately. Two weeks later, they ran into each other at Cowboy Jacks after a Twins game, and Brooke knew she had to seize the moment, walking up to him to start a conversation. The conversation continued and eventually led to a trip to Bangkok, where the couple went out on the town for a romantic dinner, followed by drinks at the top of the tallest building in the city—75 floors straight up. When they asked the waitress for a quick photo, Tony took Brooke by surprise and fell to one knee. Their October wedding took place during a blizzard, but Brooke and Tony embraced the falling snow that created a serene backdrop for their ceremony, first dance and kiss. Shades of pink and green in the florals graced the tables. Though it was chilly outside, the warmth of Brooke and Tony’s love filled the day.
