Kelsey and Sam both moved to Rochester, Minnesota in the summer of 2017 to work at Mayo Clinic and met eachother within the first few months of being there while caring for a patient together (Sam as the resident and Kelsey as the nurse). Nudged by their patient, the two began talking and soon thereafter went on their first date where they quickly bonded after realizing they were both from Wisconsin - from there the rest was history. Sam's surprise proposal to Kelsey came on Thanksgiving Day. He was supposed to be working at the hospital while Kelsey went with her sisters to take their annual 'sister photo' prior to their holiday meal. When the girls arrived for the photo a "Trumm sister pictures' sign greeted them with an arrow pointing towards a bridge. As they arrived to the walkway filled with rose petals and candles, Sam appeared and got down on one knee.
Four years later, the pair celebrated their love at The Eloise - the only wedding venue which they felt perfectly captured their vision for their wedding day. Kelsey and Sam loved all things bright, elegant and gold thereby opting for a palette of light gray and navy paired with golden accents and lush greenery. Daffodil*parker created a stunning, classic floral design that perfectly complemented the wedding's navy and gold details. The al fresco ceremony featured a romantic geometric arbor accented with white florals and greenery, making it feel equally modern and refreshing. Once guests made their way inside the grand reception hall featuring warm wood floors and beautiful gold chandeliers, they encountered round tables draped in light gray linens and topped with navy napkins, set with gold chairs and highlighted by a mix of tall and short floral centerpieces that were accented with white candles and gold votives. Finding a way to make a wedding both timeless and unique can often be a challenging task for couples and wedding planners, but this wedding treads the line perfectly with their choices of colors and atmosphere.
