A decade ago, May and Ryan began a relationship that would ultimately culminate in an elegant autumn wedding celebration at The George and Madcap Lounge. Though the couple officially wed with a ceremony back in 2020, due to pandemic lockdowns and restrictions they postponed their larger celebration until all of May's family members could attend, many who live internationally. Ultimately, May ended up having loved ones travel to Wisconsin from China, Europe and Canada for the fête which evoked an ambience of soft glamour. Curated by Heather Farr Events, the event design paired old-world elements with a sumptuous palette of of baby blue, caramel and blush brightened by golden accents. For our couple, it was a goal of the day to integrate more traditional elements of May's culture and her life with Ryan in America; a gold-detailed, red Chinese fan and beautiful pair of red heels were some of the homages along a traditional Chinese wedding tea ceremony. Inside The George and Madcap Lounge, a reception setup brought elevated charm and enchanting décor amongst the venue's eclectic walls lined with framed pictures. Soft blue linens and blue-tinted glassware were an inviting addition to tablescapes that paired effortlessly with golden chargers and bud vases. A Chinese Lion Dance by Shaolin Center Waukesha was another delightful addition to the day's festivities, which framed May and Ryan as they toasted to their lasting love.
May and Ryan hosted a lovely fête on a crisp fall day featuring sumptuous hues of baby blue and golden accents.
