Beauty of the Barn: New Wisconsin Wedding Venue

Turning a 100-year-old dairy barn into an event venue is no easy task—especially when extensive renovations required reconstructing a floor and replacing the roof. But Birch Hill Barn’s husband-and-wife team Russ and Jacqueline Johannesson saw the potential and wanted to share it with others. “The property is so peaceful, and we wanted others to experience the same feeling we had the first time we walked into the barn,” says Jacqueline.

The new venue is a perfect pairing of serenity and versatility. Nestled between two large hills, the views from Birch Hill Barn are picturesque, with scenic spots nearly everywhere you turn. The barn’s grand size helps set it apart—more than 3,000 square feet allow brides to transform it into any vision they can dream.

Located in Glenwood City, Birch Hill Barn has a small-town feel that perfectly matches how the Johannessons do business. “We are extremely passionate about giving brides, grooms and their guests the best wedding experience imaginable,” says Jacqueline. “We are here to ease the stress of planning, bouncing wedding ideas off of the couples and serving them so that they walk away having had the most wonderful day.” Birch Hill Barn, Glenwood City, 847.732.1997
